About the Cyber Citizenship Education Initiative

Combining digital literacy and civics to empower young cyber citizens

Our Mission

The Cyber Citizenship Education partnership is committed to helping America’s K-12 students build skills for engaging in civil discourse in our increasingly digital world. This partnership works to aggregate resources for teaching young citizens how to analyze and evaluate online information, consider the source, and gauge bias–skills critical to helping individuals, and thus our society as a whole, be much more resilient against the insidious spread of mis- and disinformation online.

Our Partnership

Led by and funded by a grant from Cyber Florida: The Florida Center for Cybersecurity, the Cyber Citizenship Education project benefits from the expertise and support of several organizations, including the Florida Center for Instructional Technology, the New America Foundation, and the National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE).
